This course provides comprehensive training on the operational principles and procedures involved in the handling of liquid cargo and ballast systems on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tankers. It is designed for maritime professionals seeking practical knowledge of LPG tanker operations, cargo management, and safety procedures.

Participants will become familiar with the structure and systems of LPG tankers through ship simulation and technical study of cargo containment systems, pipeline arrangements, control valves, pumps, compressors, and reliquefaction plants. The course also covers instrumentation, auxiliary systems, and operational controls used during cargo and ballast operations.

Special attention is given to critical operational procedures including tank atmosphere evaluation, cargo ventilation, boil-off gas management, inert gas usage, tank cleaning, gas freeing, and cargo change procedures.

The training also focuses on ballast operations such as ballasting and deballasting, as well as cargo operations including cargo measurement, cargo condition monitoring during voyages, and preparation procedures for loading and unloading.

In addition, the course introduces participants to operational challenges and system malfunctions that may occur during cargo handling. Trainees will learn how to identify faults, respond to emergencies, and implement corrective actions.
