Course Description:
This course is designed to develop the knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required for a Ship’s Fitter to perform duties onboard vessels at the Support Level.
Participants will undergo structured training and competency assessment in key operational areas, including:
- Metal assembling and fabrication works
- Maintenance and repair of ship machinery and equipment
- Occupational safety and environmental protection procedures
- Understanding of English terminology and commands used in the engine room
The program combines theoretical learning, hands-on practical training, and competency evaluation, ensuring that trainees are fully prepared for real onboard working conditions.
Learning Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will:
- Be competent to perform fitter duties onboard ships
- Apply safety standards and pollution prevention practices
- Understand and follow technical instructions in English
- Operate effectively within an international maritime environment
- Qualify to serve in a Ship’s Fitter role at Support Level (L3–L5)
